IKUD® Seminare: Developing Intercultural Competence

IKUD® Seminare offers professional training, coaching and consulting services to meet the requirements of increasing globalisation and international cooperation. Our fields of work are Diversity & Inclusion, the providing of solutions for the challenges of international management and the imparting of international communication competencies. We advise and train business enterprises, organisations and individuals who wish to extend their intercultural resp. transcultural competence in the context of growing internationalisation and globalisation.

A particular focus of our work is the training of individuals who are themselves working or planning to work in the field of (intercultural) training. We have been training intercultural trainers (m/f) for 10 years.

Our work is based on the latest findings of research and on a foundation of well-established academic work. The practical application of academic findings to everyday situations and challenges is part of our core competence, established over the course of our work at the Göttingen Institute of Intercultural Didactics from 2000-2006. Our work under the direction of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Karl-Heinz Flechsig included research on the theoretical base of intercultural didactics as well as the conceptualisation and planning of projects (e.g. Police Academy of Prague, EIMAT project) and the organising and carrying out of seminars and trainings.

Our long experience of work for business enterprises and organisations has convinced us that it is the practical application of theoretical findings in intercultural trainings which is truly effective in developing intercultural competence. For this reason, our trainings are always participant- and solution-oriented as well as interactive.

In 2006, we created the innovative and practical course concept of our “Certified Intercultural Trainer: Training in 5 Modules” and established it on the market. Today, IKUD® Seminare is the leading provider of training for intercultural trainers and coaches. We also offer trainings on specific countries and specialised subjects.
